San Francisco Weather Forecast

San Francisco is one of the hardest cities to forecast and San Francisco weather changes drastically from neighborhood to neighborhood. It’s a city of microclimates so you might experience cold wind and fog in one district and warm sunshine in another. That said, the billowing fog, misty rain, deep blue skies and dramatic sunsets often enhance your San Francisco experience.

 

In order to have a comfortable day, it’s important that you prepare for a variety of weather in San Francisco in one day. Wear several thin layers that you can take off or add as needed, bring rain gear (water proof jacket and umbrella), a hat and wear comfortable walking shoes for your San Francisco Urban Adventures tour.



Temperatures in San Francisco during summer (June-August) average 66 degrees (18 celcius) and rarely rise above 75 °F (24 °C).  Winter is relatively mild with average highs of 56–64 °F (13–18 °C) and lows of 46–51 °F (8–11 °C). Heaviest rains are from December to March, and the driest period is May to October. Don’t be fooled by “summer” as this can be foggy and quite chilly at times, so be sure to have more than shorts and sandals.
